Data Sources & Attribution
Dignity Access is built on open data. Every restroom on the map traces back to one of the sources below, and we are grateful to all of them — to the mappers who walked the streets, and to the public bodies that chose to publish their data openly. This page exists to credit them properly and to set out the licence terms we are using them under.
OpenStreetMap
The large majority of restroom locations in this app are derived from OpenStreetMap. Map data is © OpenStreetMap contributors, available under the Open Database Licence (ODbL). Restroom locations derived from OpenStreetMap are shared under the same terms.
This credit also covers records from other sources that we have enriched with OpenStreetMap information — opening hours, wheelchair access, and closure status on some United States federal records come from OpenStreetMap contributors.

Community contributions
Many details — opening hours, whether a restroom is single-occupancy, whether it has a lock, a sink, or an adult changing table — come from people who use this app and report what they found. Those contributions are anonymous: there is no account, and we do not store who submitted what. They are also the reason the map improves over time. Thank you.

Data quality varies by location, and conditions change without notice. Always confirm on arrival that a restroom is safe and suitable for your situation.
